This is part of my series on BIG MESSY Art for Kids that I’m doing this week. Yesterday, I wrote a post about Sidewalk Paint that I hope you’ll check out. Today, why not set out some really BIG paper for kids to paint on?
This one is pretty simple. Here are the materials:
– really big newsprint paper
– some spill-proof paint cups
– washable paints
– big paintbrushes
Set them all out and invite the artists:
If you set it out, they will come.
And they will make lovely paintings.
I love watching them concentrate!
And then they have freedom to explore that really big paper!

We love painting! I will buy a huge pad of paper from the art supply store every couple of years (it’s such a treat when it comes out) and do this. though those spill proof cups look really nice, I may need to get myself some of those!
wonderful pictures and great activity to do with your kids. I used to keep a pad of newsprint and a bucket of crayons in my kitchen.
