They worked dutifully, protecting the precious gems and metals that ran through the earth. One day, as they were working, they came across a pocket of powerful energy left over from the creation of the world. The dwarfs were bathed in it’s warm light and each were imbued with special magic. The trick, they soon discovered, was that they could not use their magic alone. It had to be shared. For wishes, for wisdom, for whatever magic was needed, it took a bit of love and a big squeeze to release the power within them. Then, they understood that this great gift was not just for them, but for everyone. They wandered out of their mountain village and spread all over the world, seeking out worthy friends with whom they can share their magic.

Complete instructions are given to sew your own SnugzDollz. They are written as simply as possible so that a beginner adult or intermediate child may be able to sew the pattern. There are a lot of small pieces, which is why it is listed as an intermediate pattern. This pattern is hand sewn.

Materials Needed:
Felt – Bamboo, Eco, Synthetic, Wool Blend or 100% wool felt.
~ 1 standard sheet or 1/4 yard of one color for body shapes –
color: green, blue, purple
~ scraps of felt for other pieces –
colors: skin tone of choice, spring green, light pink, purple
Embroidery Floss – recommended stitching with 3 strands from standard 6 strand
cotton embroidery floss.
~ colors to match the felt used for the body shapes and pocket
~ colors for face and embellishment embroidery –
Black, light pink, red, medium green, dark pink, purple
Stuffing – wool stuffing or polyfil
